Welcome to my little colorful world! I'm Lindsey Banker, a 42 year old artist out of South Carolina. I've been married for over 20 years to my amazing husband and we have 3 incredible children that I've homeschooled for 10 years now. We have two rambunctious dogs, three cuddly guinea pigs, and two awesome little lizards.
I spent much of my childhood loving art classes and art clubs but after a mysterious illness knocked me down in my teens, my love of art became an obsession and an escape from the daily pain I experienced. My Gramma would often show up with boxes of art supplies she's snag at yard sales and tell me to get to work... and I always did. As the years moved along, I tried numerous different mediums and still to this day, I enjoy dabbling in many art forms. Whether it's painting, drawing, sewing, or sculpting, you'll typically find me doing something creative in my small walk-in-closet turned mini art studio.
In my 30's my mysterious illness finally had a name, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. EDS is a connective tissue disorder that has damaged both my organs and the major structural support of my body, including my back, hips, ribs, and digestive system. Daily pain, 11 surgeries, and constant doctors appointments can make it hard to hold a typical day job and so I decided I would use my passion for art to help bring money in for my family. It also brings me so much joy to know that something I created is hanging on someone else's walls.
When I'm not creating or homeschooling, I enjoy playing with our pets, reading, adventures with my family, True Crime Podcasts, and sitting by the ocean. I love Jurassic Park, sparkles, rainbows, and entirely too much coffee. I put my heart and soul into my art and I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do.
